How to cancel Noom

This one cancels from your account page in a couple of minutes, with nobody to talk to.

The catch

Noom's introductory offer is not a free trial in the way most subscriptions use the phrase. It is a short low cost trial that converts into a prepaid multi month plan billed as one lump sum, so the charge that arrives is not the small monthly figure people are braced for. Cancel before the trial period ends rather than before the first month ends, and note that removing the app changes nothing at all: billing is attached to the account, not the installation.

  2. Open your plan or subscription settings
  3. Select cancel and follow the prompts to confirm

After you cancel Noom

Access continues to the end of the period already paid for, including coach messaging and the course content, then stops. On a prepaid multi month plan that end date can be a long way out.

Logged meals, weight entries and course progress become unreachable when access ends, so export anything you want to keep beforehand. Note that a cancellation made after a renewal still leaves the subscription active to the end of that cycle, and that the renewal charge itself is not refundable, so the useful deadline is always the one before the charge rather than after it.

Cancelling stops renewal but does not by itself trigger a refund of a lump sum already taken. Those are handled as a separate request.

Worth knowing

Noom is cancelled in the account Subscription Portal or in the app, not by a one click URL. Deleting the app does not stop billing. Purchases made inside the iOS app are Apple billed via StoreKit and must be cancelled in Apple Account subscriptions.

No. Billing is attached to the account rather than to the app on your phone, so an uninstalled app keeps being charged. Cancel in the subscription portal or in the account section of the app before removing anything.

I subscribed through the iPhone app. Does cancelling on the website work?
No. A subscription started in the iOS app is billed by Apple and only Apple can stop it. Cancel it in the Apple account subscriptions list rather than in the Noom portal.
