How to cancel Paramount+

This one cancels from your account page in a couple of minutes, with nobody to talk to.

The catch

Paramount+ has an unusually long list of resellers, and the web cancellation only works when Paramount itself is doing the billing. Apple, Google, Amazon Channels, Roku, Walmart+ and several carriers each sell it, and each one keeps its own cancel flow. The Showtime add on is the second thing to watch. On plans where it is a separate line item, cancelling the base subscription can leave it running, so check that the account page shows nothing still active once you are done.

After you cancel Paramount+

Access continues to the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and the confirmation names the date. Paramount does not refund unused time on either monthly or annual plans.

Your profiles, watchlist and viewing history are held rather than deleted, so resubscribing to the same account restores them. Downloads in the mobile app stop working when the period ends.

One quirk worth knowing: resubscribing after a cancellation does not always return you to the price you had. Promotional and annual rates are tied to the original subscription, so a cancellation on a discounted plan usually means coming back at the standard rate. If you are only pausing for a season, that difference can be larger than the months you save.

Cancel only works if billed directly by Paramount+. If the subscription was purchased inside an iOS app it is Apple-billed and must be canceled via Apple Settings / StoreKit; other third-party billers (Amazon, Roku, etc.) have their own separate cancel flows.
