How to cancel Peacock

This one cancels from your account page in a couple of minutes, with nobody to talk to.

The catch

The Peacock trap is Xfinity. Comcast gives Peacock to a large number of its internet and TV customers as an included benefit, and those accounts have no cancel button because there is no separate subscription to cancel. Removing it means changing the Xfinity package, not cancelling Peacock. Beyond that, Peacock is resold through Apple, Google, Roku and Amazon in the usual way, and each of those cancels through its own store rather than through peacocktv.com.

After you cancel Peacock

Peacock keeps running to the end of the billing period you have paid for. There is no refund for the unused part, and the cancellation confirmation shows the date access ends.

Rather than cancelling, Peacock lets you switch down from Premium Plus to Premium, which keeps the catalogue and adds ads back, or pause the subscription for a set number of months. For sport in particular, where the reason to subscribe arrives and disappears with a season, the pause is the tool that matches the actual need.

Your profile, watchlist and continue watching data survive a cancellation, so returning to the same email restores them. Downloads, which only Premium Plus offers, stop playing at the end of the period.
