How to cancel Fit For Free
- Open the Fit For Free (now SportCity) app and go to Account, then Lidmaatschap (Membership).
- Note your membership number and change or cancel your membership from that screen.
- Alternatively, email your home club with your membership number to request cancellation (club contacts are in the app and on the clubs overview page).
- Or visit your club in person and ask the staff to cancel.
- Respect the one month notice period before your contract end date, and remember the 14 day right of withdrawal for new members.

Fit For Free has merged into SportCity, so fitforfree.nl now permanently redirects (HTTP 308) to sportcity.nl; the opzeggen-herroepen page is the official cancellation instructions and resolves to a live, real page. The dedicated self-service subdomain opzeggen.fitforfree.nl is no longer reachable (connection refused / 000). Cancellation is self-service through the member app (Account > Lidmaatschap), or by emailing/visiting your home club; there is no phone-only or letter requirement. Notice period is one month before the contract end date, annual plans carry a 12 month minimum term then auto-convert to a monthly Flex plan, and a 14 day withdrawal right applies to new members. This is a direct-billed gym membership; if a subscription were purchased as an in-app purchase via the App Store it would instead be Apple-billed and cancelled through Apple, but Fit For Free memberships are billed directly (SEPA direct debit), not through Apple.
