How to cancel SportCity

• Minimum term

This one cancels inside the app itself rather than on the website, which is where most people go looking first. There is a committed term. Leaving inside it usually means paying the rest of it anyway.

1. 1Open the SportCity app and tap Account, then Lidmaatschap (Membership).
2. 2Find your membership number and current membership type there.
3. 3Choose to cancel (opzeggen) your membership from the Lidmaatschap screen.
4. 4Alternatively, email your home club stating you want to cancel and include your membership number.
5. 5For an annual membership, submit the cancellation at least one month before the contract end date to avoid it continuing as a monthly Flex membership.
6. 6You can also cancel in person by visiting your home club.

Cancelling on the day the charge lands is already too late here. Work backwards from your renewal date.

Notice period (opzegtermijn) is 1 month. An annual membership has a minimum term (minimale looptijd) and must be cancelled at least 1 month before the end date; otherwise it auto-converts to a monthly Flex membership that stays cancellable with 1 month notice. New members have a 14 day right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht) after signup. Primary self-service cancellation is through the SportCity app account (Account > Lidmaatschap); email to the home club or an in-person visit are alternatives. Billing is direct via SportCity, not Apple. If a membership were purchased as an in-app subscription through the App Store it would instead be Apple-billed and cancelled via Apple, but SportCity gym memberships are billed directly. cancelURL verified with curl: HTTP 200.
